HDC Hyundai Development Company (CEO Kwon
Soon-Ho) of the
HDC Group is strengthening self-regulating safety management competence of
partner companies and continuously carrying out win-win cooperation for shared
growth with partner companies.
HDC Hyundai Development Company is making up for problems caused
by passive safety management and strengthening safety in construction types
particularly vulnerable to disasters, appointing and operating a Self Safety
Engineer (SSE) in frame construction. In addition, they will provide all
expenses regarding SSEs.
From now on, in all HDC Hyundai Development Company’s construction
sites, framework partner companies must hire SSEs that have hands-on experience
in safety practice, and manage safety and health care throughout the overall
frame construction process with HDC Hyundai Development Company’s safety
organization, carrying out work such as discovering and resolving harmful risk
factors for their workers, providing practical safety education for workers and
establishing a safety system for partner companies.
HDC Hyundai Development Company will carry this system out on
framework partner companies first, which have the highest accident rate
according to their independent disaster analysis of their previous 5-year plan.
They plan to expand this to all construction types in stages.
In addition, they will improve the evaluation system so partner
companies can establish a practical safety and health care management system.
Also, through realistic and effective incentives, like increasing opportunities
for bidding, and providing management consulting for vulnerable construction
types, they plan to expand shared growth with partner companies.
An official of HDC Hyundai Development Company stated that they
will do their best in win-win cooperation with partner companies and starting
with this SSE support system, they will unsparingly support partner companies
so that their self-regulating safety and health care management can be
strengthened.
